I love travelling in winter apparently but I guess that is to be expected since I LOVE hockey. Early in 2020, before the pandemic really hit North America, I made a trip to Winnipeg and boy, February is the wrong time to go.  When I am not travelling or exploring my province, I am in a rink most times. OMG it was amazing! For my 23rd birthday, my mom gave me money so I could head to Toronto for a Maple Leafs game that was being played on New Year's Day 2017. Since 2008, the National Hockey League has hosted a Winter Classic outdoor match, normally held at a football or baseball stadium. In 2014 they added other outdoor games. The Leafs were playing the Detroit Red Wings that day, to celebrate the NHL's 100th anniversary they played in what was dubbed the Centennial Classic.

Completed: November 1, 2017 After watching the 2007 Stanley Cup finals, I have been paying attention to the sport a lot more and since then I have wanted to see the greatest player of my generation play live. Sidney Crosby, who was born and raised in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, was projected to be the next Wayne Gretzky when he was still in minor hockey.
